Md. Golam Mortuza (Director)
Mr. Md Golam Mortuza is an experienced banker with great reputation in the financial industry of Bangladesh. Being nominated by JCIL’s holding company Janata Bank PLC., he joined the JCIL Board of Directors as a Director in 2023. He has been serving Janata Bank as a Deputy Managing Director since 21 November 2022.
Prior to his joining Janata Bank, Mr. Mortuza served Rupali Bank PLC. as a General Manager. He started his banking career as a Senior Officer in Rupali Bank
on 24 September 1998. During his 35-year long career in two state-owned banks, Mr. Mortuza performed his duties and responsibilities as the head of various Branches and Departments in the Head Offices of Rupali Bank and Janata Bank.
Mr. Mortuza holds a Master’s Degree in English from the University of Chittagong. He participated in various seminars, workshops and trainings in a number of famous institutions both at home and abroad.
Mr. Md Golam Mortuza was born in a noble Muslim family in Chattogram in 1969. He is the son of Mr. Oli Ahmed and Mrs. Anwara Begum. His spouse Mrs. Lutfun Nahar Begum is a home maker.
Mr. Mortuza visited Thailand, India and the UAE to take part in professional training sessions, workshop and conference.
